Performing Arts and Film Camp
GOALS AND MISSION: Youth and young adults are taught by trained staff to develop their skills in acting, dancing & singing in the making of an original motion picture. At the end of the 6 week program, youth showcase their talents at a red carpet screening event held at a local movie theatre for a memorable summer experience!
The goal of the Bethel Family Resource Center's Summer Performing Arts Camp is to ensure that young adults are provided the opportunity to experience the world of performing arts by offering an affordable alternative to the programs which were once available to them in schools. By using the performing arts as a tool we teach children valuable life skills such as self-confidence, risk-taking and working with others toward a common goal, whether they are novices or seasoned veterans. Focusing on cooperation in a noncompetitive atmosphere, children are allowed to learn, grow and freely explore new ideas.
Therefore, we strive to provide your child with a safe, fun, exciting environment in which to learn theater skills. We provide the highest quality theater education while encouraging students to hone their unique talents, develop their confidence and discover the joy artistic expression. Each student is given the opportunity to shine in his/her own way.
