BACKGROUND

IL Works is a statewide initiative to ensure that all Illinois residents have access to State capital projects and careers, including the construction industry and building trades. It is intentionally designed to increase equity and opportunity in capital construction jobs.  The goal is to provide contracting and employment opportunities to historically underrepresented populations in the construction industry. This effort specifically targets women, people of color, and veterans in the state of Illinois.
