Since 2022, we've successfully trained 137 participants through pre-apprenticeship skills training, equipping them with the essential skills needed for high-paying, in-demand jobs. After completing our 12-week program, you’ll be ready to transition into a DOL Registered Apprenticeship and launch your career in the building trades. Join us to build a brighter future!
BACKGROUND
IL Works is a statewide initiative to ensure that all Illinois residents have access to State capital projects and careers, including the construction industry and building trades. It is intentionally designed to increase equity and opportunity in capital construction jobs. The goal is to provide contracting and employment opportunities to historically underrepresented populations in the construction industry. This effort specifically targets women, people of color, and veterans in the state of Illinois.

Eligibility Requirements

Adults 18+ years old

Illinois resident
-
Proof of a High school diploma or equivalent

Able to pass a drug test (by the end of the program)

Valid Driver’s License

Interest in a career in the construction & building trades
